Lucía Prieto Santamaría

Hey there! I’m Lucía.

I’m an Assistant Professor (Profesora Ayudante Doctor) at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain. I’m also a researcher in the Medical Data Analytics Laboratory (MEDAL) located at the Center for Biomedical Technology (CTB) of the UPM. With a PhD in the area of Computer Science, a MSc in Computational Biology and a BSc in Biotechnology, I study the new horizons of drug repurposing and network medicine by means of large-scale data analysis. My research interests focus on the intersection of the biomedical and computer sciences, including fields as computational biology and biomedical informatics, with a key role of Artificial Intelligence technologies.
